Innovation Excellence: SIRIO Europe has been honored as TOP 100 Innovator 2022

TOP 100 is awarded to German medium-sized companies for special innovative strength and above-average innovative success.

SIRIO Europe convinced as innovation driven company, after having undergone a rigorous screening process based on more than 100 innovation indicators from five categories: innovation-promoting top management, innovation climate, innovative processes and organization, external orientation/open innovation and innovation success.

Competition based on scientific selection process

The TOP 100 innovation competition is scientifically managed by the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation at the Vienna University of Economics and Business; project partners are the Fraunhofer Society for the Promotion of Applied Research and the BVMW association of medium-sized companies.

“How much is a company focused on innovation? How consistently does its structure follow this goal? At TOP 100 we are investigating that,” explains Prof. Dr. Nikolaus Franke, Head of the Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. “The most innovative medium-sized companies receive the seal. It shows that they are excellently prepared for future challenges.”

SIRIO Europe is the regional headquarters of the global Sirio Pharma Group and known for its high-quality nutraceuticals, which are sold to customers in over 50 countries. The affiliated AYANDA facility focuses on the development and manufacture of pharmaceutical and nutraceutical softgels and holds ten quality certifications including Pharma-GMP, US-FDA and Organic.

Milestones in new softgel technologies

In recent years, SIRIO Europe has brought many new technologies and products to market maturity. Among others new shell technologies for making vegetarian and gastro-resistant softgels, a patented technology for softgels containing probiotics and omega 3. Various complex product formulations with natural extracts were developed based on consumer trends.

In addition, the company heavily invested in the modernization and automation of the German Ayanda plant. As environmentally responsible company, a combined heat and power plant was put into operation 2021 to reduce the ecological footprint.
