Infarma 2025: 5 Trends Shaping the Future of Supplements

4 April, 2025, Pritzwalk, Germany: From March 25–27, Infarma 2025 brought together pharmacists and leading supplement brands from Spain, France, and Italy, all seeking the latest innovations in consumer health. With 30,000+ professionals and 400+ exhibitors, the event was a prime opportunity to explore emerging trends, from advanced formulations to new delivery formats. Our SIRIO team was on the ground and it was insightful to witness what brands in Southern Europe are prioritizing as well as engage directly with pharmacists on their key areas of interest.

Here are the top five supplement and wellness trends spotted on the show floor:

1. Collagen Is Booming – But how to stand out?

Collagen was front and center at Infarma 2025, with a wide array of collagen powders promoted for beauty, skin, and joint health. The demand is high across Europe—but the category felt really busy as we witnessed it at the show. What’s next? How to differentiate?

We saw collagen served in everything from smoothies to ice cream. Brands are being creative and showing novel ways how to consume your collagen powders. This signals an appetite for novelty. The white space? Brands aiming to stand out could explore gummy formats, which offer an enjoyable and convenient experience for consumers looking to include more collagen in their diet.

Brand highlight: Unique Pink Collagen stood out for the beautiful glass packaging.

2. Gummy Supplements: A Format That Keeps Winning

If one trend stole the show, it was the rise of functional gummies. From children’s supplements to adult health boosters, gummies are being reimagined in terms of shape, flavor, and function.

Spanish brand Neo Peques showcased a wide range of imaginative gummies—from bone-shaped calcium gummies to perilla oil-based omega 3 vegan gummies. While innovation is thriving, taste and texture remain critical. Meanwhile, interest in FOS-sweetened gummies points to growing demand for natural, low-glycemic alternatives in formulation.

Brand highlight: we loved the new Cumlaude Lab Femgummy Antiox Gummies with an innovative formulation including Coenzyme Q10, Grape Seed Extract, Pine Bark Extract.

3. Melatonin “Plus” Concepts are standing out in the Sleep Category

Sleep support remains a hot category, with melatonin gummies offered in multiple variations—even for kids in the Spanish market. What’s new? The addition of extra functional benefits—such as combining melatonin with ingredients for beauty, mood, or immune support.

This trend reflects a wider shift toward stacking benefits in one product—an attractive proposition for consumers looking to simplify their wellness routines.

4. Digestive Health Is Growing—and Getting Smarter

Many brands that we spoke to reported that digestive health supplements are their best-selling category. It’s easy to see why. The conversation has moved beyond probiotics to synbiotic combinations—featuring probiotics, prebiotics, and postbiotics for a holistic approach to gut wellness.

At the Infarma 2025 show we noticed the awareness of the gut-health–overall-health connection, and supplement brands were asking us—what is next? The opportunity lies in delivering science-backed ingredients in stable, and effective formats and if they can be fun even better. Take our GummiBiotics range as an example:  it includes gummies with clinically supported strains and proven stability across the shelf-life.

5. The Beauty & Supplement Crossover Is Here to Stay

The beauty-from-within category continues to blur the lines between cosmetics and supplements. Brands offering nutricosmetics—with ingestible solutions that complement topical skincare—are gaining traction, especially when backed by credible science and stylish packaging.

Take Triangirl by Ordesa, for example. With vibrant colors and triangle-shaped bottles, they embody what the younger generation of consumers want: products that work and look good on a bathroom shelf or TikTok feed.

Final Thoughts: What’s Next After Infarma 2025?

Infarma 2025 showed that formulation alone isn’t enough anymore. Therefore, brands that want to win in the pharmacies need to think in terms of format, functionality, and consumer delight. Whether it’s differentiating with new delivery systems or pairing multiple benefits into one, the brands that prioritize innovation with a strong user experience will define the next wave of wellness.
