From the first softgels produced by our predecessor company in 1993, to expanding into nutrition product solutions in 2000 and building a global footprint in Germany (2016) and the United States (2023), SIRIO has grown into a leading nutrition product solution provider serving brand owners and retailers worldwide.
Our history
SIRIO Europe has a rich history spanning over 32 years. Pushing the boundaries of pharmaceutical development since 1993, SIRIO has unrivalled experience in manufacturing high quality gummies and softgels and creating innovative solutions for its clients, championing quality and compliance at all times.
1993
- SIRIO was founded in Shantou and began pharmaceutical manufacturing
2000
- SIRIO began offering contract manufacturing services for food and dietary supplements
2002
- SIRIO launched its export business for food and dietary supplements.
2003
- SIRIO obtained pharmaceutical GMP certification as well as Health Food GMP certification.
2007

SIRIO obtained UK BRC certification, enabling collaboration with major European retailers.

SIRIO established a second production base in Shantou, adding gummy and solid dosage manufacturing capabilities.
2010

SIRIO achieved U.S. NPA-cGMP certification.

SIRIO became the first formulation enterprise in China to obtain this certification, validating its pharmaceutical-grade quality standards according to CIC.
2012
- SIRIO introduced liquid production lines and successfully commenced operations.
2013

SIRIO introduced its first plant-based softgel production line.

SIRIO achieved Australia’s TGA GMP certification and ranked first in China’s dietary supplements export market share for six consecutive years (CIC).
2015
- SIRIO launched a new testing center, strengthening quality control across the entire supply chain and laying the foundation for CNAS accreditation
2016
- SIRIO completed the full acquisition of Ayanda GmbH, now Sirio Pharma Germany GmbH
2018
- SIRIO launched its Ma’anshan production base and began large-scale gummy manufacturing
2019
- SIRIO was listed on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange (300791.SZ).
2021
- SIRIO launched a benchmark project to drive digital transformation in the nutrition product solutions industry
2022
