Come to get inspired, discover proven concepts that work, hear from experienced speakers in the consumer health and nutrition space and network with like- minded industry professionals. We will finish the day with a boat tour and dinner at a typical Cologne brewery.

The Innovation for the Future Summit is an event with limited spaces available to allow for better interaction between speakers and participants. There is a nominal fee of 145 euros for participation, including breakfast, lunch, boat tour & dinner.

Agenda

Our day will start at 10.00am with coffee and breakfast buffet and the presentations will kick off at 10.30am.

We will end the official program at 5.00pm, and we will invite you to a boat tour on the Rhine river. The boat will drop us off at a brewery for a typical Cologne style dinner.

Philipp initially started his career in the process and packaging machinery industry, where he provided invaluable support to clients in both the food and pharmaceutical sectors.

In 2023, he transitioned to Sirio, assuming the role of a senior sales professional overseeing the DACH region.

Drawing from his background, Philipp is an adept expert in facilitating the development of innovative products for clients.

Rafael Hinojosa

Director Specialty Sales, KD Pharma

Rafael Hinojosa is a seasoned professional with over 30 years of experience in multinational companies, predominantly within the Pharma and Nutraceutical sectors.

His expertise in the EMEA market includes successfully launching new concepts and products, leading teams, and implementing strategic plans. Starting his career at F. Hoffman La Roche in 1993, Rafael progressed to roles like Project Manager Omega3 Europe before transitioning to Puleva in 2001. At Puleva, he played a pivotal role as Business Unit Manager, contributing to the success of Puleva Omega 3 UHT milk. Subsequently, Rafael held impactful positions at Capsugel, Ocean Nutrition Canada Ltd (acquired by DSM), and DSM itself, where he served as Commercial Manager Nutritional Lipids HNH EMEA.

In 2020, Rafael joined KD Pharma as Global Director of Specialty Sales, further enhancing his legacy by driving success in the Omega 3 market, particularly in the Nutraceutical division. His career reflects a consistent commitment to excellence and innovation, marking him as a key player in the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industries.

Frank Behnam

CEO, AQUANOVA AG

Frank Behnam is CEO and shareholder of AQUANOVA AG, a FSSC 22000 certified German b2b manufacturer of colloidal ingredient formulas for the food, healthcare and cosmetics industry based on its awarded and patented NovaSOL® technology.

He furthermore manages the daughter company AQUANOVA NA CORP. located in New York as its president. Frank is closely connected to both industry associations in the food and health segment (such as the Food Association Germany) as well as to various research institutions. In his function as Senator at the Berlin based Federal Association for Economic Development and Foreign Trade he underlines his dedication and expertise in business management.

He made his university degree with focus on industrial management and marketing and has acquired broad application and technology expertise through his commercial practice which he began as a management consultant in Frankfurt. Since his entry in AQUANOVA AG in 2005 he is managing the company’s business development. He is member of the Executive Board since 2014 and got appointed as CEO in 2018.

Thomas Wenzel

Degree MBA Business Administration with a specialization in Marketing done in “Fachhochschule Wiesbaden” (Institute for Applied Science).

Working for international companies in IT sector (Germany + Netherlands / USA / China), mainly as sales director Online business and director Marketing.

Switch to supplement sector start 2020 as Export Director Naatur Handel und Technik GmbH and General Manager for PG-Naturpharma GmbH since end 2020.

Private engagement in Integrative association as a board member for 10 years.

Will Cowling

Senior Strategic Marketing Manager, FMCG Gurus

As the Senior Strategic Marketing Manager, Will Cowling is responsible for managing the development, implementation, and evaluation of integrated brand and marketing initiatives to achieve the growth and revenue goals of the business.

Will brings new ideas and concepts forward to develop innovative and effective solutions to business and marketing challenges, whilst helping to grow the brand through building strategic partnerships and client relations across the globe.

Thies Ripcke

Director Business Development & Strategic Marketing – K2VITAL®

Thies is an expert in the fields of sales, business development, and strategic marketing. With extensive knowledge and several years of experience, he has significantly contributed to the development of the Vitamin K2 market in Europe, North America, and APAC.

With over nine years of experience in minerals, Vitamin D3, and K2 MK-7, Thies brings a wide range of expertise in the food and dietary supplement industries.

Thies’ passion lies in the brand development of K2VITAL®, where he has had a significant impact on the Vitamin K2 market. He enjoys sharing his knowledge and commitment to raising awareness about the importance of Vitamin K2 and branded ingredients.

Marta de la Plaza

Product Line Director Immunity and Digestive Health – Biotics Platform

Marta is a seasoned professional in biotics and health solutions, with extensive experience in key roles at global corporations like Lallemand Health Solutions and Biosearch Life. Currently serving as Global Product Line Director for Immunity and Digestive Health at ADM, she drives innovation and product development. Marta also contributes her expertise as a board member of the IPA Infant Nutrition Committee, shaping industry standards.
